Daniela is currently a second-year Master's student at the School of Information at UC Berkeley. Before arriving at Berkeley, she worked at museums for three years, most recently at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, IL. In the museum environment, she created work at the interface of design, education, and technology, designing and developing interactive tools for the exploration and presentation of data. Her research interests focus on how aesthetics and the design of emotive and social cues in information technology can influence decision-making. Using her understanding of visual design principles, she hopes to investigate how behaviors are influenced by visual representations of contextual information.
She holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago.
